Bar and galley services

The John Bunyan is a licensed premise and has bar and catering facilities available on board.

Our Café/Bar menu includes hot and cold drinks and snacks and is open on public cruises.

Delicious Ploughman’s lunches and Cream teas can be pre-booked on both Public Cruises and Charter Cruises.

You are welcome to provide your own catering and/or bar for your charter; a loading, catering or bar charge may apply.

On longer charters we can arrange if you wish for a stop with a meal at The Barns Hotel or The Anchor at Great Barford.

Afternoon Tea (standard or vegetarian)

Available on Charter cruises, two sandwich quarters filled with gammon and red onion, and egg and cress, one filled roll with smoked salmon and cream cheese, a scone and jam and a selection of cakes, served with tea or coffee.

Cream Tea (standard or gluten-free)

Available on Public Sunday and Thursday and Charter cruises, a home-made scone with clotted cream, strawberry jam and tea or coffee.

Ploughman's Lunch (standard,vegetarian or gluten-free)

Available on Public Sunday and Thursday and Charter cruises, a wedge of cheddar and smoked gammon, served with a rustic roll, side salad, butter and Branston Pickle with a tea or coffee (vegetarian option with Brie instead of gammon.)

Picnic Box (standard, vegetarian or vegan/gluten-free)

Available on Music cruises and Charter cruises, two mini rolls, quarters of hand-raised pork pie, hunk of cheddar and red leicester, served with pickles, celery and butter. Vegetarian: cheese and broccoli quiche, one mini roll, hunk of cheddar, hummas with pita, carrot and celery. Vegan/gluten-free: two gluten-free rolls, falafel, hummas selection and cruditee.
